About Lugo Wrestling Academy

Lugo Wrestling Academy is a structured homeschool performance academy. It is not a club, not daycare, and not volume-based. The program is designed for disciplined athletes and families who value structure, accountability, and long-term development.

Program Overview

The academy operates Monday–Thursday during the school year from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Athletes receive elite wrestling instruction, strength and conditioning, film study, and mentorship in a daytime environment. Parents remain responsible for all academic instruction.

Academic Structure

Families may choose any homeschool or virtual education platform. Many families use Florida Virtual School (FLVS Flex), which is free. Lugo Wrestling Academy does not provide academic instruction, curriculum, grading, or transcripts.

What Athletes Receive

Elite wrestling technique and drilling. Live situational training. Age-appropriate strength and conditioning. Film study and wrestling IQ development. Discipline, accountability, and mentorship.

Admissions Process

The academy uses an application-based admissions process. Families submit an application, complete a short conversation, and are invited to enroll if the program is a strong fit.

Step Up Positioning

Families using Step Up For Students (PEP) may apply scholarship funds toward Lugo Wrestling Academy, as it qualifies as physical education and enrichment. Parents remain responsible for academic instruction.

Tournament Philosophy

Lugo Wrestling Academy emphasizes development-first competition. Athletes are guided toward appropriate tournaments throughout the school year based on age, experience, and readiness.
